8/26/2025 Women in Tech Breakfast Recap: From Burnout to Breakthrough
This morning, the Technology Council of Central PA welcomed 35 members of the Central PA tech community to gather for our third 2025 Women in Tech Breakfast session: When Self-Care Becomes Self-Destructive: One Woman’s Journey from Burnout to Breakthrough.
Over coffee, conversation and breakfast, we heard from Reesy Neff, Founder and President of Omega Ecycles, who shared her deeply personal story of resilience, recovery, and redefining what self-care really means.
In a world that often demands perfection, Reesy pulled back the curtain on her own journey—the unraveling, the reckoning, and ultimately, the rebuilding. With honesty, humor, and hard-earned wisdom, she invited everyone in the room to let go of the myth of “perfect” and embrace something real. The message was raw, vulnerable, and deeply relatable, sparking meaningful conversations around the tables that continued long after her talk ended.
Gratitude Where It’s Due
A morning like this doesn’t come together without support:

- Our TCCP Investors — Highmark / enGen, Capital Blue Cross, Select Medical, DQE Communications, JMA Resources, and McKonly & Asbury. Your presence and support drive our mission forward.
- The Women in Tech Breakfast Club workgroup — your hard work behind the scenes ensured today’s success.
- Our Board Members — a special thank you to Reesy Neff and Sue Engels for joining us and demonstrating your commitment to creating a more inclusive tech industry here in Central PA.
Looking Ahead
Today reminded us that growth happens when we choose authenticity over perfection—and that community matters in making those shifts possible.
We’re proud to host spaces where these real, honest conversations can take place. And with more Women in Tech Breakfast sessions ahead this year, we can’t wait to continue building connection, inspiration, and momentum together.
Stay tuned for details on our next session—we’d love to see you there.
