4/27/2026: A Day of Service (and a Little Friendly Competition) at Midwest Food Bank

There’s something special that happens when you bring great people together around a shared purpose and today’s Day of Service at Midwest Food Bank was a perfect example of that in action!

Thanks to our partnership with TCCP member Momentum, Inc., we rolled up our sleeves and got to work supporting an organization that plays a critical role in fighting food insecurity across our region and beyond. The mission was simple: show up, pitch in, and make an impact. And make an impact we did!

Team Cereal vs. Team Beans: Let the Games Begin

Of course, no great day of teamwork is complete without a little friendly competition. Our group split into two teams, Team Cereal and Team Beans, each with their own mission, their own rhythm, and their own determination to come out on top.

Team Cereal got to work filling bags with impressive speed and consistency, ultimately packing 1,640 bags and stacking 3 full pallets. Efficient, focused, and quietly confident, they made it look easy!

Meanwhile, Team Beans brought the energy. With a fast-paced operation and a whole lot of hustle, they powered through 3,567 bags touched and stacked 11 pallets. Impressive work!

So…who won? Our community.

The Real Win

While the scoreboard may spark a little debate (and maybe a rematch someday?), the real story is the collective impact. Together, this group contributed thousands of bags of food, each one representing meals that will reach individuals and families who need them. That’s the kind of outcome that matters most.

Grateful for Community in Action

A huge thank you to Momentum, Inc. for jumping in as our partner for this day of service, and to Midwest Food Bank for the incredible work they do every day to support our community. We’re so grateful to be a small part of it.

Want to Get Involved?

We’d love to have more companies join us for future Days of Service!

If your organization is interested in partnering with TCCP for a volunteer opportunity at Midwest Food Bank, let’s talk. Reach out to Alexis Gosik at alexis@tccp.org to get the conversation started.

Come for the impact. Stay for the teamwork, connection, and yes, maybe even a little food-related fun!
