Response to White House Executive Order:
Promoting Advanced AI Innovation and Security

Today, President Trump signed an Executive Order, “Promoting Advanced Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Security” which focuses on strengthening U.S. cybersecurity, supporting secure frontier AI deployment and expanding voluntary government-industry collaboration.

The Executive Order would:

•             Prioritize cyber defense across federal systems.
•             Expand AI-enabled cybersecurity tools and services.
•             Support critical infrastructure operators, including hospitals, banks and utilities.
•             Create a voluntary AI cybersecurity clearinghouse.
•             Establish classified benchmarking for covered frontier models.
•             Enable voluntary, secure collaboration on covered frontier models.

National Artificial Intelligence Association CEO Caleb Max said:

"Frontier AI and cybersecurity are now central to U.S. competitiveness and national security.

The White House says this Executive Order would advance voluntary government-industry collaboration on advanced AI cybersecurity, and the details will matter.

Any framework must protect intellectual property, preserve innovation and work for companies of all sizes.

Congress must pass one clear federal standard that protects Americans across state lines, supports responsible deployment, and ends the conflicting patchwork of state AI laws."
