Nancy Martindell of JMA Resources Honored as Eastern PA’s Top Small Business Leader by SBA

Nancy Martindell, founder and president of Mechanicsburg-based JMA Resources Inc., has been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration as the 2025 Eastern Pennsylvania Small Business Person of the Year.

Founded in 2018, JMA Resources is a certified SBA 8(a) and EDWOSB (Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business) that has grown rapidly under Martindell’s leadership. Today, the company employs 70 team members and stands out in the IT sector as a woman-led firm offering cutting-edge services such as data migration, cybersecurity, automation, and systems integration for government clients.

JMA’s remarkable trajectory includes a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies. In 2024, the company ranked No. 397 overall and secured the No. 19 position in IT services, fueled by an impressive 1,979% revenue growth over three years.

Much of this success is grounded in Martindell’s commitment to continuous learning and strategic development. She’s an active participant in SBA’s SCORE mentorship program, which offers personalized business guidance, and leverages the MySBA Learning platform to deepen her expertise in areas like government contracting and leadership.

Each year, SBA selects one outstanding entrepreneur from 40 counties across Eastern Pennsylvania to receive this award—recognizing the pivotal role small businesses play in driving economic vitality. Martindell’s win aligns with the broader celebration of National Small Business Week, which honors entrepreneurs and small business owners nationwide.

On behalf of the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania, we extend our warmest congratulations to Nancy Martindell on this well-deserved recognition. Nancy’s visionary leadership, tireless dedication, and bold innovation have made JMA Resources a shining example of what’s possible in Central PA’s tech ecosystem.

She is more than just a business leader—she is a catalyst for change, a role model for women in tech, and a powerful force for good in our region. Her success story continues to inspire others to dream bigger, reach higher, and lead with heart. We are proud to have Nancy and JMA Resources as part of our thriving tech community.
