Celebrating Excellence in Tech: Winners of the 2023 Women In Technology Awards Honored by the Technology Council of Central PA

[September 28, 2023] Seven Women In Technology Award winners were named during the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s event last night. This year’s Women In Technology Awards marked the 7th anniversary of the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s continued commitment to celebrating women, and their supporters, who are innovators, role models, trailblazers and inspirations within the technology community throughout the Central Pennsylvania region. 


This year's award recipients were selected from a pool of highly accomplished nominees, each representing the diverse and dynamic landscape of technology in Central Pennsylvania. The winners exhibited unparalleled commitment and consistently pushed the boundaries of what was possible in their respective fields.


The 2023 Women In Technology Awards winners are as follows:

  • Samantha LenhartNext Gen Award: Recognizes an up-and-coming young woman who is making a difference in technology in our region. Lenhart is a Senior Scrum Master with enGen.
  • Jennifer MagaroMoxie Award: Recognizes a pioneer who has blazed the trail for other women in technology to follow. Magaro is the Vice President of enGen.
  • Mary RichardsonDiversity & Inclusion Award: Recognizes a woman’s active commitment to inclusion and diversity in technology. Richardson is the CEO of Bindr.
  • Capital Blue CrossWomen In Tech Ally Award: Recognizes an individual, organization or business for their outstanding achievements or contributions as an Ally to women in tech. Allies are recognized for empowering women in tech through everyday actions to successfully contribute to a more diverse tech industry.
  • Rachel AldenImpact Award – Private Sector / Medium to Large Business: Recognizes a woman in technology whose contributions have made a positive impact in the Private Sector / Medium to Large Business market (companies employing 50 or more employees). Alden is a Digital Portfolio Manager with Sheetz, Inc.
  • Shannon McClearyImpact Award – Private Sector / Entrepreneur to Small Business: Recognizes a woman in technology whose contributions have had a positive impact in the Entrepreneurial / Small Business sector (companies employing less than 50 employees). McCleary is a Marketing & Account Manager with TREYSTA Technology Management.
  • Stacey WhiteImpact Award – Public Sector / Government: Recognizes a woman in technology whose contributions have had an impact in the Public Sector / Government. White is the Shared Services Transformation Officer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The 2023 Women In Technology Awards ceremony took place on September 27, 2023 at the WITF Public Media Center in Harrisburg, PA. The event was a vibrant celebration of innovation, excellence, and empowerment within the tech industry, with industry leaders, advocates, and aspiring tech professionals in attendance.


In addition to the seven awards, Women In Tech scholarships were awarded to Natalie Barlow (Elizabethtown College, Class of 2024, majoring in Engineering); Shokhinabonu Tojieva (Franklin and Marshall College, Class of 2025, majoring in Computer Science and Business, Organization and Society); and Anne Nguyen (Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, Class of 2024, majoring in Computer Software Engineering Technology). All three of this year’s scholarships were sponsored by Itero Group.
