We’re working on behalf of a client to find a DevOps & Release Engineering Manager who can blend hands-on CI/CD expertise with clear, strategic leadership. In this fully remote role, you’ll guide a team to strengthen automation, modernize deployment workflows, and improve release governance—so software ships more frequently with less risk across cloud, on-prem, and Salesforce environments.
What you’ll bring
- 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, release management, or a closely related field
- 3–5 years in a leadership or people-management capacity
- Strong working knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Salesforce deployment tooling such as Copado)
- Experience with deployment automation, release controls, security/compliance, and risk mitigation
- Ability to troubleshoot complex, time-sensitive release issues and drive technical escalation
- Proven collaboration skills across engineering and business stakeholders
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines across multiple platforms, improving reliability and automation
- Lead and directly support high-risk releases with hands-on problem-solving when issues arise
- Shape release approaches that enable frequent, low-risk delivery while meeting governance requirements
- Manage release planning/coordination/reporting and continuously refine release governance processes
- Recruit, mentor, and grow DevOps and Release Engineering talent, promoting a culture of continuous learning
- Track key delivery metrics (e.g., deployment cadence, failure rates, and recovery times) to drive improvements
- Lead platform modernization by migrating away from outdated tools with minimal disruption
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to align deployment roadmaps with architecture and operations
