Key qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or GED (associate’s degree or internship experience preferred)
  • 1-2 years of help desk or IT support experience
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a bonus
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Mac OS environments
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and user account management
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple support requests efficiently and professionally

Main responsibilities:

  • Offer timely support via phone, email, chat, or ticketing systems to resolve user issues
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, providing clear guidance
  • Document and track support tickets, escalating as needed
  • Assist in hardware and software setup, including configuring user accounts
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
  • Support basic mobile device troubleshooting
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles and user documentation
  • Participate in after-hours support rotations as required
  • Collaborate with senior staff on projects such as ERP and cloud migration initiatives
