Data Analyst

Contract to hire, fully remote Data Analyst opportunity with an established company looking to add them to their team as soon as possible. This is a contract to hire role with a permanent position available in 2026. with benefits including bonuses, 3 weeks PTO, 401(k) with 3% matching, healthcare options and more.  
This role is centered on implementing and scaling Power BI as an enterprise reporting platform, establishing Power BI data models & reporting frameworks, and combining data from multiple systems into clear, usable reporting. You will work closely with business teams to turn raw data into dashboards that actually drive decisions.
What you will actually do
  • Build Power BI dashboards and reports from the ground up for teams adopting or expanding BI capabilities
  • Design and optimize data models that combine data from multiple systems and sources
  • Write and refine SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data
  • Translate business questions into practical, easy-to-use visualizations
  • Improve and maintain existing reports, datasets, and models
  • Troubleshoot data issues and handle report enhancement requests
  • Set up and manage user access and security in Power BI
  • Guide business users on how to effectively use dashboards and reporting tools
What is required
  • 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience
  • 3+ years of strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries
  • Experience building data models, relationships, and calculations in Power BI (DAX)
  • Experience working with data from multiple systems and integrating it into a unified model
  • Ability to gather reporting requirements directly from business stakeholders
