Join us for a powerful Women In Tech Breakfast experience where we come together as a community to explore how shared ownership transforms the way we lead, collaborate, and grow.

Facilitated by Jessica Warren, EHS Training Manager at Pennoni, this interactive session invites women and allies across the Central PA tech ecosystem to reflect, learn, and engage in meaningful conversation around building cultures where people feel empowered to contribute and succeed together.

This workshop emphasizes that shared ownership goes beyond delegation and is actually a mindset and set of behaviors that foster accountability, engagement, innovation, and belonging. When people feel like valued contributors to decisions and outcomes, their investment and performance increase. The session highlights common barriers such as siloed priorities, unclear expectations, limited trust, and communication gaps. To build shared ownership, organizations should focus on several key pillars: a clear purpose, aligned goals, consistent communication norms, empowerment and trust, psychological safety, and a healthy feedback culture. Participants are encouraged to self-reflect, discuss whether tasks feel like ownership or obligation, and identify one shift they can make immediately. Ultimately, shared ownership grows when leaders model collaborative behavior, invite participation, clarify expectations, and support capacity-building rather than pressure. Ownership is created, not assigned.
